The Portuguese international, who missed the World Cup due to the injury, has been training with the United squad in the United States and could return this week in the friendly against Philadelphia Union.

"I just started training with the team three days ago," Nani said ahead of a training session at the NovaCare Complex.

"I am feeling good now. I can feel my fitness beginning to build up and I am hoping to play a little bit this week."

Nani is also pleased to be working with Sir Alex Ferguson again, with the Scot clearly a manager who enjoys the player's full respect.

"I am learning a lot from him," the winger added.

"He knows how to work with young lads and makes us grow up."
